Privacy Policy

Summary

resizedphoto is a static website. Every tool runs inside your browser. Files you open are processed on your own device and are never uploaded to us.

This site shows advertising. The ads are served by Google AdSense, and Google may use cookies and similar technologies to deliver and measure them. That part is Google's, and it is described below. Everything else on this site is ours, and we do not collect personal data, run analytics or use tracking pixels.

What we collect

Nothing.

There is no account to create, no sign-in, and no form on this site that stores what you type. We do not ask for your name, your email address, or any other detail. We have no database because we have no need for one.

When you allow advertising, Google receives the request for the ad itself. That request carries the ordinary details of an internet connection, such as your IP address and the browser you are using. Google is responsible for what it does with them under its own policies, which we cannot read and do not control.

How your files are handled

When you open a file, your browser reads it into memory on your device. All the editing happens there, on your machine. The finished file is handed straight back to you as a download.

We hold no server-side copy. Nothing is transmitted to us, because we have no servers that accept files. When you refresh the page or close the tab, the working copy is released and gone.

Neither we nor the advertising code ever sees the file you open. The tools run before, and separately from, the ad code.

If you choose to share a result, you do that yourself, using whatever service you prefer. We are not part of that.

Cookies

We do not set any cookies ourselves.

We do store a few small preferences in your browser's local storage: whether you are using the light or dark theme, whether the navigation drawer was left open, and whether you have agreed to see advertising. Local storage belongs to your browser rather than to us, it stays on your device, and it is never sent anywhere. Clearing your browser data removes it.

Google sets its own cookies when it serves an ad. Those cookies are listed in the Cookie Policy, along with the company that sets them and how long they last.

Advertising

We use Google AdSense to show ads. AdSense is a single network, and the ad you see is chosen by Google from its own advertisers, not by us.

Every ad on this site sits in a container that is labelled Advertisement. We do not design ads to look like site buttons or navigation, and we do not place an ad next to a button you press to run a tool.

AdSense uses cookies and similar technologies to serve ads, to limit how often you see the same one, and to measure whether an ad worked. When you allow ads, Google may personalise them using data from this site and from other sites you have visited. When you decline, the advertising script is never loaded and no advertising cookies are set.

You can change your mind at any time from the Ad settings link in the footer of every page. You can also opt out of personalised advertising at Google Ads Settings, and read how Google handles ad data at Google's advertising policies.

Analytics

We do not run Google Analytics or any other analytics script of our own, and we do not use tracking pixels.

The only measurement on this site is the ad reporting that comes with AdSense, which Google handles on its own side. If we ever add analytics, this section changes first, and we will list every cookie it sets, along with the company that sets it and how long it lasts.

Third parties

One: Google, for advertising, and only if you agree to it.

Typefaces come from your own operating system, so there is no request to a font provider. The PDF, ZIP and document-rendering libraries are served from this domain rather than from a content delivery network. Sponsored links point to other companies, and we are not involved in what those sites do with your visit.

Aside from loading the page, its files, and the advertising code you have agreed to, your browser makes no other requests.

Children

We collect no information from anyone, including children under 13. The advertising code is loaded only after you agree to it, so no advertising cookie is set for a child who has not clicked Allow.

Your rights

While you are only using the tools, we hold no personal data about you, so there is nothing for us to export, correct, or delete on request.

Data that Google collects for advertising is governed by Google's own privacy policy, and you can exercise your rights there, including the right to delete an advertising identifier, through Google My Activity and Google Ads Settings.

If you email us, we keep your message and email address only so that we can reply to it. Ask us at any time and we will delete them.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it. You can ask us for the previous version.
